This is one of the hardest maps I’ve ever attempted! Because a good chunk of queens lacks public transport, the subway map neglects a huge chunk of this very large chunk of the city, meaning many New Yorkers don’t really know how the whole thing looks. It’s also on a “grid”, which isn’t really a grid at all, and needed a lot of cleaning up to feel sensical. Squeezing this into a functional and fun-to-explore graphic took a long time, and I’m not sure if i’ve finished it yet! Any queens people have thoughts? Image 2 is a description f the ever-baffling queens addressing system.

Are you from Raleigh? Do you have a friend from there? Please tag them! We need help with this one. Raleigh has grown exponentially over the past three decades and I can’t tell what’s a real neighborhood.
My home state! I know this place so well, it’s hard to think it took me so long to design it. Rhode Island is so intertwined with Massachusetts that you really need to include the border towns. Any fellow Rhode Islanders have thoughts?

The Atlanta map is in the movie Love, Simon! This is about the only clue that the movie takes place in Atlanta, so I guess it’s a plot point? Thanks to everyone who noticed it and sent me nice messages :) btw this movie hit me really deeply and I cried almost the whole time. 📷: @philsalterego (Phil wants Emily’s insta, I can’t find it)
